Apex Nursing & Care Services Ltd was founded in 1992 by Karen Coleman. With the support of a dedicated professional management team backed by highly trained and enthusiastic staff, it was incorporated into a private limited company in 1994

Apex’s Head Office is based in Manchester and has satellite offices in Ashton under Lyne, Bradford/Leeds, Crewe, Liverpool, Mansfield, Preston, Prestwich and Stoke.

Apex supply staff to a wide variety of service groups for relief cover, maternity leave, sickness leave and holiday periods, specializing in providing staff at short and emergency notice.  Apex also provides complete teams of Qualified Nurses, Residential Social Workers and Carers for prolonged periods, offering clients real continuity of service.

Apex is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Our policy is to meet and exceed the requirements of our clients by listening carefully to their needs, by tailoring our service to suit and by employing only the most conscientious of staff to maintain our insistence on excellence.

Apex has grown into one of the leading providers in the North West and in 1995 we opened our own training and development center.  We run courses such as the Homecare Induction (formally Basic Care), Mandatory Moving & Handling/Basic Life Support and First Aid.  Apex recognizes everyone’s fundamental right of access to care, whatever their individual need or circumstance including consideration of culture, religion, language and diet.  As a result, we have developed training and recruitment initiatives to ensure that we provide all sectors of the community with an appropriate informed and skillful service. 

Apex is an active member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association, and the Recruitment & Employment Confederation and has been a winner of the Duke of Westminster Awards.  We received Investors in People recognition in 1998, 2001 and again in 2004.
