With stylish and contemporary apartments designed for the over 55's, living in our Extra Care facilities makes life as easy and enjoyable as possible for our residents.

We now have an exciting opportunity available for Bank Care Workers to be based at this beautiful scheme.

Duties will involve:

Providing care and support to customers in accordance with their support plans including personal care, helping with medication, accessing social opportunities and preparing food etc. Working in a way that respects the dignity, privacy, property and choice of the people using the service. Actively listening and taking account of views, decisions and choices of customers. Complying with all risk assessments and safe working practices. Keeping accurate records of the care, financial and medical support given to tenants. Participating in the review of support plans if requested by the customer. Reporting all customer feedback including compliments and complaints to senior staff. Liaising with family, friends and professionals to ensure inclusion and well being of tenants. Ensuring all information relating to tenants is kept secure and confidential. Working within the terms of Cross Keys Homes safeguarding vulnerable adults procedure proactively seek to maintain the safety of customers. As part of the integrated alarm system and care service, responding to calls from fire, security and customers’ assistive technology alerts. Requirements

A good understanding of the needs of older people. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures relative to work area. A good understanding of confidentiality and data protection. Knowledge of safeguarding process and arrangements. Experience of providing personal care and support to people within their own home, working to agreed care and support plans. Experience of working with older people and conditions that may affect them. Experience of assessing changing care needs and adapting working processes accordingly. Ability to work effectively on your own; as a team member and with colleagues across agencies. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Able to work flexibly to meet the different circumstances and challenges. We are interested in anyone who has previously worked in the following: Care, Care Worker, Healthcare Worker, Care Support Worker, Care home, Care Assistant, care support assistant, Personal Care, Personal Assistant. This is a flexible part time position which means hours will be agreed in advance on an ‘as and when’ basis. It is the perfect opportunity to work around your family life or other commitments. Salary offered £8.45 per hour
