Digital Marketing Manager: Gonzalez Byass UK is a premium wine distributor that offers a fantastic portfolio of wine, Champagne, Port and Sherry brands from around the world. In essence, we look to build awareness and excitement for a core group of brands. We are looking for a Digital Marketeer to join our enthusiastic marketing team, based at our office near St Albans. As a company, we have advanced our digital marketing strategy and social media marketing over the last three years and we are searching for an individual who can help take us to the next level. We are a fun and dedicated business to work with and pride ourselves on our passion for what we do.

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across a portfolio of wine brands and will be the digital 'go to' person for the UK Marketing team. You will be managing and directing all digital marketing activity, primarily in the areas of content creation and social media management across various platforms. This includes devising and implementing the digital strategy, liaising with Brand Managers in both the UK and Spain and working with agencies as necessary.

The role has a focus on driving digital activity within key social media platforms - specifically Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. You will have excellent copywriting skills and can evidence exciting content through previous work. A creative flair will be required to develop engaging marketing campaigns and design.

Essential experience and skills for this role:

- Digital strategy development and implementation

- Facebook Business Manager

- Community management

- Copywriting

- Adobe Photoshop & InDesign

- Google Analytics


- An understanding of GDPR

- Email marketing campaigns (ideally Mail Chimp)

- Website Management (ideally WordPress)

- Social media scheduling tool (ideally Hootsuite)

We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketeer with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in this field. You will need to be self-driven, capable of working independently and also a great team player, something that our business values immensely. You will have a creative eye for design and an in depth understanding of social media marketing, an appreciation of SEO and PPC would be an advantage.

A great understanding and confidence in the use of social media in order to increase brand awareness and engagement with a broad consumer demographic is essential. You will understand the intricacies of social media and their limitations/opportunities, this is a must across all key channels.

Good data management skills which enable decisions to be made on what and how we need to change our digital approach to marketing is a key part of the role. You will be able to work with our Brand Managers on monitoring the impact of campaigns, tweaking and advising where needed.

You will be a confident communicator able to work autonomously and drive digital plans to deliver successful outcomes. You will need to have a creative mind-set and be capable of understanding how to engage with different target audiences. An interest in wine or experience in the drinks sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
