Description:
As part of continued expansion, our client is seeking to recruit an Internal Sales Support Assistant, reporting directly to the Business Development Manager to work as part of a small team based in their Tuxford Office to maximise the outcome from received and quoted enquiries. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within the construction industry supply sector. Whilst a relevant degree qualification would be ideal, exceptional candidates with good A Level / GCSE results may be considered. The successful candidate can be expected to develop an expanding career role in the company's sales and marketing operation.

Key Tasks:

* Progress of enquiries to ensure that all quoted projects are followed up to sales closure or other known outcome in conjunction with the company's broader sales team.

* Development and maintenance of telephone relationships with key customer contacts.

* Maintain accurate computer based record keeping and diary maintenance.

* Preparation of management reports on lead follow up activities.

* Pro-actively seek out potential new clients.

* Assist and support the Sales Manager in his tasks.

Performance Measures:

* Contribution to the company's overall sales and marketing effort, and achievement of agreed sales performance targets.

* Timelines of response to customer enquiries.

* Accuracy and presentation of records and reports.

Experience / Education

The Ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within the construction industry supply sector. Whilst a degree qualification would be ideal, exceptional candidates with good A Level / GCSE results may be considered.

Require Key Personal Skills:

* Organised and pro active, able to work from initial information to tenaciously pursue existing opportunities for the company.

* Familiarity with MS Office (Excel / Word / Outlook) and , ideally Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Document Management System (DMS) software.

* Ideally the candidate should have the ability to read and understand construction drawings.

* The ambition to learn and progress is a must.

* Excellent Communication skills.

* Ideally the candidate will have the ability to read and understand construction drawings.

Our client will offer a salary commensurate to the skills of the successful candidate and whilst this is not a fixed range, an annual salary in the range of £18,000 - £25,000 is envisaged.
