Programme Manager required who will be reporting into the head of programme management, we require an experienced and capable individual with significant project management, programme management as well as experience managing large scale accounts.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of a number of project managers to ensure project reporting is undertaken, collaborating on issue and risk management and escalating issues as required to the appropriate level.

Working in a fast paced and highly responsive environment the candidate must be an effective worker with excellent communication and decision-making skills. The role will require travel to Europe on a regular basis.

The techy bit….we need you to be really great at:

Experience of managing people and financial budgets (including programme budgeting, monitoring financials etc.) Experience of overseeing 3rd parties. Experience of fixed price delivery projects and excellent risk management skills Minimum of five years’ experience working in an Agile environment Proven track record of working with organisations moving from Waterfall to Agile delivery approaches Facilitation of all team meetings and ceremonies, including Planning sessions, Showcases, Team Retrospectives and the daily stand-up Working knowledge of Agile frameworks, Scrum and Kanban Strong leadership skills with experience of managing other project managers. Strong time management & organisational skills. Excellent communication and relationship management skills Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Good commercial knowledge, experience of contract negotiations would be advantageous. Maintaining a resource plan showing resource commitment across the projects and keeping track of potential end dates in association with functional lead personnel Keeping track of resource requests and managing fulfilment of these requests internally or externally as appropriate Ensuring that new recruits are appropriately performance managed Contract renewal management, staff appraisals Experience of managing multiple projects with some exposure to eCommerce and the Retail industry Software Application Development related Project management experience (min 5 yrs) Exposure to medium to large scale fixed price project delivery Wunderman Thompson Commerce is a new global eCommerce consultancy that applies strategy, technical know-how and outstanding design to make a big impact through eCommerce.
