A vacancy has arisen for a CAD Technician with Revit experience. Reporting in to the Design Manager, you will predominantly be working on M&E construction projects within the Water industry.  


What you’ll be doing day to day  Working from P&ID’s, topographical surveys,laser scans and layouts to design new installations. 3D Modelling on AutoDesk Revit. Pipework detailing and drawings. Structural steelwork GA’s. Civil GA’s and Detailing. Co-ordinate & liaise with other internal and external mechanical, electrical, civil designers, sub-contractors & suppliers. Attend design reviews. Carry out site surveys, laser scanning. Assist with the design review processes. Evaluation of potential hazards through design risk assessments. Control of changes & effect during design & development process. Control the flow of design documentation and filing using proprietary document control systems  

The experience we’re looking for in a candidate  AutoDesk Revit Experience. AutoCAD Experience. Experience in a process industry design role. Mechanical Engineering qualification – NVQ, HNC, HND, Graduate. Working knowledge of Microsoft software packages.Be able to organise yourself and others workload Be able to work in a strong team environment Be proactive in your approach An excellent communicator A high level of diplomacy and customer focused Capabity to undertake Laser Scans Experience of interpreting 3D Laser scans and Point Cloud capability ie expertise in developing 3D Models from Laser Scans Sufficient water Industry experience to produce PIDs with limited Process Engineer input
