Description:
Relief Support Workers – March, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £8.65 - £9.68 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Hours: As and when required

We are currently recruiting for a Relief Support Worker at our Residential Children’s Home in March, Cambridgeshire. The children who live at the home have suffered numerous placement breakdowns, abuse, neglect and trauma in their early years.

The staff are there to therapeutically re-parent the young people, and to show them that they can learn to trust the adult world to keep them safe and to give them the love, understanding and nurturing that every child deserves.

This is sometimes an arduous and complex task therefore we are looking for individuals with resilience, warmth, commitment and a passion to provide them with opportunities that they will have missed in their early years, and a commitment to stand by them through some challenging times.

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate flexibility, empathy, warmth, creativity, enthusiasm and have an ability to understand the young person's needs.

The ability to work a rota shift pattern is essential, as this post will include sleep-ins, evening and weekend work.

Note: An additional £37 is paid for each sleep-in duty.
