About the role:

An exciting opportunity arises in the group treasury team due to the pending retirement of the incumbent Treasury Manager. Our Cambridge based group finance team is responsible for the treasury administration and oversight of more than 25 locations globally. This role reports to the Director of Treasury and Financial Risk. Treasury in the Press is at the beginning of a radical journey to rationalise its global banking providers, this role will be pivotal to success.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own knowledge and to grow professionally. You will be responsible for the consolidation of branch cash forecasts, issuing challenge where necessary, then administering the effective deployment of resources ensuring maximum available cash is remitted back to the UK from overseas operations. You will responsible for banking controls across the group and other treasury documentary obligations, the electronic banking platforms, and ensuring that finance functions in Cambridge and other branches receive the advice to comply with the Press Treasury policies.

Long term development and career progression will also be available to candidates who excel in the position.

About you:

A naturally analytical and logical mind set, methodical and organised with a strong control and process focus. Conscientious, reliable and with good attention to detail.

A professional personal style and quietly persuasive. Good collaborator due to frequent interaction with many colleagues from around the business. A can-do attitude and determination to get things done.

Sound knowledge of treasury best practice. Experience of electronic banking platforms.

Basic understanding of banking services and how banks operate.

Previous experience as a treasury manager in a business trading internationally would be beneficial.

Cultural sensitivity, particularly for dealing with colleagues based overseas whilst at the same time retaining a resolute commitment to Press policy and best treasury management practices.

Good MS-Excel and MS-Word skills, some knowledge of SharePoint and MS-Teams desirable.

A recognised professional accounting qualification will be desirable although not essential. Study support available to progress through Association of Corporate Treasure qualifications.
