A World leading Manufacturing client located in Herefordshire are looking for a Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to join their manufacturing facility on a permanent basis on a 2 hour day and night 24/7 shift basis

As an Instrument and Control Engineer in the maintenance team, you will be expected to work as part of the team, to ensure we meet key objectives within the business. This is an opportunity to help to ensure we continue to make todays products with greater efficiency, reducing waste and preparing the way for the Royston plant to make the next generation of emissions controls products into the future

In order to be considered for this position, candidates need to have a working knowledge in an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering role ideally within a GMP (Good manufacturing Practice) environment, FMCG, Pharmaceutical or Automotive. You will Certified calibration of instruments for audit and TS/ISO standard requirements, OR MES level 2 fault finding using PLC software (Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 preferred) as well as robotics and vision systems. This will extend to both once suitably trained.

The ideal candidates will have:

* HNC/HND or City & Guilds in Instruments/control or a formal apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.

* Demonstrable instrumentation and/or control experience in a maintenance team ideally in a production environment

* An in-depth knowledge of technical instrumentation skills within a production environment, or control systems, (plc programming, SCADA, networks, etc).

* Experience operating as an integral member of a team responsible for maintaining and improving the production assets of the site.

* A proactive and flexible approach with a willingness to carry out a variety of tasks, including work of a physical nature and use your initiative when resolving issues along with the ability

This position may be suitable for candidates who have held positions such as Instrument Technician, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Technician , Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Engineer / Technician or ECI Engineer / Technician.

This position is a basic salary between £50,000 - £54,000 working a 3 & 2 's shift of days nights along with a very competitive benefits package that includes an excellent pension scheme.
