Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to expand our team through the recruitment of an In-House Electrical Technician in Huntingdon. This a full time permanent position working 7am – 4pm Monday to Friday.

Could this be the ideal role for me?

As our ideal In-House Electrical Technician, you will have a level 3 qualification in a relevant electrical, engineering or technical subject. You will be able to demonstrate proven experience working with heavy machinery either in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Knowledge of computers, electronics and health and safety will be needed.

Please be aware that travel will be involved in the role so flexibility is essential, and you would be required to work on occasional weekends.

Your New Role

Reporting in to the Service Manager, the successful In-House Electrical Technician will be predominantly office based and dealing with incoming phone calls from technicians, suppliers and customers and rectification of any technical electrical and mechanical problems that may arise. On a daily basis, this will involve:

Providing technical support for engineers and customersLiaising effectively with the service dispatch coordinator to ensure that all maintenance work is completed and technicians have the necessary means to correct and maintain all aspects of the WECCoordinating movements of field technicians in reaction to breakdowns and other necessary turbine requirementsEnsuring that reports from the turbines are accurate to the maintenance schedules and update and maintain the ESC Reports database where necessaryOrdering of all material necessary to complete scheduled maintenance, necessary upgrades. Ensure that the WEC journal is accurate and updated where and when necessaryWhen and where necessary, travel to WEC sites throughout the UK. Providing Technical AssistanceProviding cover for the IT Technician in case of assistance required of their absenceChecking, maintaining and producing E-Service reportsWhy work for us?
