Spencer & Arlington have a fantastic opportunity for a Care Manager to join their team in Loughton. We are looking for a full time member of staff and are able to offer a competitive salary of £27,000 - £30,000 per annum.

The Care Manager Role

Joining our team, you will support the Registered Manager to develop an ethos that reflects service users’ individual needs and that celebrates their individual differences and diversity. You will ensure that all the required Spencer and Arlington’s policies, procedures and systems in place required for the effective running of the home; and to ensure that all relevant persons are knowledgeable about them and have access to the documents.

The successful Care Manager will address the care and health needs of each service user and to make sure they are kept safe and well protected and support the Registered Manager to provide effective support and supervision to the home’s staff, which meets the current and future needs of the service.

Our Ideal Care Manager

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a residential supported living for children and adults with challenging Behaviour (could be as a Supervisor, Shift Leader or Deputy Manager) is essential.

* You MUST be NVQ level 5 qualified and possess a full driving license to be considered for this position.

You will also have:

Experience of working with children/adults with challenging behaviour, autism and epilepsy                              Experience of working within a service audited by CQC                                              Experience of managing various operational aspects of a similar serviceExperience of recruiting, inducting and developing individuals and teams                              Experience of appraisal and supervision processes and rota management            Experience of performance management processes, including discipline and grievance                                    Able to work under pressure from time to time                                                              Able to meet the physical, mental and emotional challenges of the role
