Norwich area (exact location to be confirmed at interview)

£29,636 - £31,371 per annum (Scale I)

37 hours per week (this will include one sleep in shift and 2 x 9-5-day shifts)

Permanent contract

Norfolk Residential Children’s Homes provide respite care for young people (male and female) aged between 5 - 17 years, the children are on the edge of care and we offer a service to support them to remain living at home together. We work with 30 plus children that attend Aylsham Road for activity based short breaks. 

As the Senior Practitioner, you will be part of the Aylsham Road team to support children and families to prevent them from coming into care and remain living at home. You will be part of assessing the children’s needs and supporting the family. 

You will be part of the management team and required to take part in the out of hours on call system, supervision of staff, attending meetings and paperwork duties

You will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic team who endeavour to make significant changes in young people’s lives.

Ideally you will have a background in residential care or be experienced in working with children. You will be required to have a social work or appropriate nursing qualification and you will be expected to supervise staff. 

To work within this environment, you will need to be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will need to be reliable, have good personal relationship and communication skills as well as high professional standards.
