About the role:

The European Library Sales team is looking for a French speaking sales coordinator or sales executive depending on experience to join us at this exciting time. The Library Sales Coordinator/Sales Executive, France will be working closely with the Head of European Sales for this territory with the aim of driving forward our business and deliver on our ambitious growth plans in Academic Sales. It will be a varied role, with a mix of market analysis, account management and new business development.

This can be achieved by building on our core strengths and position as a trusted university press publisher through regular library visits to existing accounts, but also through presentation of our product portfolio to new potential accounts.

In this role you will be driving our ebooks and journals business with academic institutions of all sizes and will help with the day-to-day management of agents & customer queries.

Furthermore you will have budget responsibility, sales reporting internally and you will contribute with the implementation of regular sales and promotional campaigns.

For this you will require a high level of organisation, confidence, and problem-solving skills to ensure that our library business in the region runs smoothly.

The role will be based in our Cambridge offices with the possibility of being based in the territory for the right candidate.

About you:

You will have a proven track record of sales, ideally within the publishing or book industry. You will have the ability to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy and communicate market analysis and product feedback internally.

You must have high organisational & strong numerical skills, as well as an affinity for data manipulation in Excel, and an ability to work well across a wide range of Press systems. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to form strong relationships with internal and external colleagues, and have an inquisitive and persistent approach to solving problems.

For this role fluent French language skills are highly desirable.
