Special Educational Needs Secondary Teacher required for SEMH SEN School - Ely

We are looking for a SEN SEMH Secondary Teacher for students with SEMH social, emotional and mental health needs.

The school provides education and support for boys aged 5-16 years old with a range of additional needs including social emotional and mental health (SEMH). Class sizes at the school are small with 6 pupils, teacher and at least two members of additional support. The school in cooperates a range of vocational qualifications alongside GCSE curriculum.

About the Role

* Secondary Teacher

* Planning and Teaching core curriculum subjects to KS3 and KS4 pupils

* Teaching core subjects up to GCSE level

* Knowledge of vocational subjects would be advantageous

* Maintaining awareness of curriculum developments

* Specialist Teaching Assistants in each class room

* Uphold all safeguarding procedures

* Opportunity to engage in further support and training

Key Skills

* Ability to teach core subjects up to GCSE level

* Have previous experience working within a SEN environment with social, emotional and mental health and challenging behaviour

* Up to date knowledge of the national curriculum

* STEP de-escalation training (desirable)

* A passion to engage and motivate pupils in their learning
