£25,500 - £28,00 annually.

Fantastic opportunity working for an expanding organisation, support vulnerable young people.

We are recruiting for a Assistant Manager based in Bedford to provide high-quality assessment and residential care for young people.

This role is to provide care and education support to young people suffering from social and emotional needs in a therapeutic setting.

This Assistant Manager role is a really rewarding role for anyone who has a passion for providing emotional support for young people and someone who wants a more senior role, this will involve providing support to the house manager in leading, motivating and supervising a team of staff and to be responsible for the day to daymanaging of the home in absence of the manager, to identify, report and mangage any emerging risks, to work alongside relevent authorities, as well as overseeing the young people to ensure their welfare. To provide a positive and encouraging influence on their lives and help develop the young peoples skills and independence.

A suitable candidate for this Assistant Manager role will have good management skills, communication and computing skills, experience with challenges and problem solving, understanding of confidentiality and basic principles of childcare legislation, must have the ability to respond appropriately to anger and anxiety, to be able to relate to the young people and have a confident humorous approach. Must have previous experience in a management role and previous experience working in childrens services.

This role is based on a permanent basis.

Suitable candidates for this role will have experience in a similar role or working with vulnerable young people. A positive approach and attitude to work.
