We are looking for a Special Educational Needs Teacher for a local mixed abilities SEN school. The school provides education and support for pupils aged 2-19 with mild learning difficulties (MLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD). The school in cooperates a creative curriculum which incudes sensory learning and vocational subjects. Placements and trips take place and have included visits to the seaside and local stables.

About the Role

* SEN Primary Teacher

* Planning and Teaching tailored lessons to Primary students

* Writing and Presenting education plans when needed

* Up to date with curriculum development in Primary phase education

About the school

* Large SEN provision

* Pupils aged 2-19

* Small class sizes which include support from specialist teaching assistants

* Creative curriculum

* Purpose built facilities

Key Skills

* Successful class room teaching experience

* Have previous experience working with pupils with PMLD, MLD or PD

* Up to date knowledge of the national curriculum related to Primary phase education

* Further training or experience teaching pupils with SEN

* Engage in further internal training when offered

* A passion to work in special educational needs
