Assistant Buyer- Great Yarmouth- Permanent- Mon-Friday- Salary NEG

I am currently seeking an Assistant Buyer to work for my client who currently have multiple sites worldwide and who operate an extremely successful business within their industry. In this role you will need to manage multiple priorities and multi task. Experience within an MRP/ERP System is also desired.

My client encourages personal development and allows people to flourish to their potential. We will also consider a a recent graduate or someone that has an interest in Business Studies.

Roles and responsibilities include-

* Responsible for low value purchases, commercially and/or technically low risk supplier relationships, typically repeatable, commodity product and services (direct and indirect)

* Responsible for buying against pre-defined MSAs, which specify supplier, part and price.

* To receive Engineering or generic specifications and source competitive bids from qualified suppliers that meet the specification, quality, budgetary and schedule requirements.

* To negotiate and place Purchase Orders, ensuring schedule reporting and delivery promises are maintained by suppliers with information communicated to the project/product team and other stakeholders.

* Support the administrative requirements of the procurement team, taking direction from Buyer(s).

* To expedite orders in accordance with Purchase Order requirements. Work with business units to communicate and improve delivery wherever possible and update the appropriate ERP system accordingly.

* In conjunction with QA and QC, process supplier non-conformances to ensure that the correct actions are taken to close them out in a timely manner.

* Assist end user departments with price enquiries for obtaining goods/services quotes from suppliers.

* Assist the Account Payable department with the resolution of invoice queries and discrepancies.
