Role Overview

Working in partnership with the client services and operational management teams across the field, the Senior HR Advisor will work alongside the wider HR Services team to develop and deliver HR initiatives to support business objectives, providing proactive, commercially driven HR support and guidance.

Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility

* Identifying opportunities and areas of improvement to support improved organisational and people performance, in line with business needs

* Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation both within HQ & the field

* Guiding and coaching managers on employee relations and HR issues in line with Company policies and best practice

* Supporting the successful implementation of HR policy such as of absence management and performance management into the business

* Providing comprehensive advice on complex employee relations scenarios as well general HR guidance to employees and management teams

* Identifying and initiating policies, processes and procedures; developing them where required, ensuring accurate and commercially sound advice is provided in line with policy and legislation

* Participation in varied HR project work, working on the introduction of HR initiatives in relation to employee engagement/ reward and recognition/employee retention etc.

* Take the lead on HR transformation activity, within division, working with client teams to support the business to achieve performance measures including restructures, variations, TUPE etc.

* Leading the development of line managers in the policy management framework, ensuring that managers are capable and confident to lead their people to achieve.

* Attendance at management meetings & development sessions for the field teams, ensuring constant alignment of HR activity against the business priorities

Person Specification

* Appropriate level of generalist HR experience gained within a fast-moving environment

* Experience in managing various ER matters on an individual or collective basis

* Up to date legislative knowledge

* Ability to coach and develop

* Ability to influence stakeholders

* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at every level of the organisation

* Ability to respond under pressure in a complex environment, whilst managing a high and diverse workload
