Night Concierge (Female only) £10.50ph

An experienced Female Night Support Worker/ Concierge worker is required to work in Central London for our client on a 1-3 month temporary contract which may be extended. Reporting to a Unit Manager you will assist in the provision of security and support to vulnerable adults.

What work is involved

The role would suit an enthusiastic, organised energetic person with experience of supporting service users in a hostel or residential setting by providing a concierge service, monitoring access to building.

This work will include:

* Ensuring that the hostel is kept clean and safe and taking appropriate action to maintain the condition of the building, reporting hostel repairs.

* Carrying out regular checks in the hostel, checking conditions of all communal areas.

* Ensuring the hostel is secure by regular patrols and monitoring external doors and access in and out of the building

* Carrying out resident room /building checks as necessary.

* Monitoring and reporting on the external environment, including local resident phone calls, and taking appropriate action

* Spending time talking to the residents; and providing a guidance and sign posting service.

* Dealing with any disputes or emergencies and completing incident and monitoring reports.

* Dealing with telephone and general enquiries and any other general administrative duties.

* Having an understanding of the needs of the client group and working in an understanding and flexible manner using assessment and evaluation skills.

* To update paper and computerised systems and ensure all occurrences throughout the night shift are recorded.

You will be required to have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care / equivalent and experience of working with clients who have experienced issues related to domestic violence. You will be based within a residential/hostel setting, so this type of experience would be an advantage

This post is based on a Night shift 4 on 4 off rota pattern to be agreed in advance.

Pay is £10.50 per hour 10 hours shifts.
