Technical Support Specialist

Our Chesterfield based client are a global concern and an expert within engineering equipment and solutions throughout the world.

The role;
Provide technical support over a range of products to field service team, workshop and customers, primarily for the aftermarket, Liaise with field service team, workshop and inspection department.To manage the technical support requirements for Aftersales activities and issues, and to develop the competence within the service division, through a continuous training programTo identify root cause of damaged or failed equipment and develop cost-effective corrective actions that prevent recurrence, and produce detailed reports for internal and customer consideration.Design and produce drawings for manufacture of new systems, components for upgrading plant.To select and manage ongoing relationships with, external consultants and training providers to ensure that the organization receives high standards of serviceTo regularly liaise with customers, to ensure that a high standard of service is delivered.Increase and develop the levels of Customer Satisfaction through increased contact with all customers.To manage the delivery of continuous competence development, through technical training and support, in conjunction with the Service Manager within set time scales.

Accountability for the role;

To provide advice on and solutions to a range of engineering and manufacturing problems to ensure efficient and precise production of product Produce and issue technical documentation to workshop and suppliersTo compile comprehensive technical reports/ manuals for presentation to customer.To advise suppliers on a range of manufacturing issues, i.e. methods of manufacture, materials and relevant engineering standards etc.To produce original detailed designs as well as providing design modifications to a range of existing product including generation and checking of new or modified engineering drawings and bills of materials.To work to tight deadlines to keep pace with manufacturing and customer deadlines.Liaise in a precise/ professional manner with a varied customer base and with suppliers for enquiring and purchasing purposes.Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure safe working environment.You will be also responsible for induction programs, apprentice programs and our talent development program
 

The role is a permanent position
