The Assistant Head of a secondary school in the South of Preston is looking for appoint an experience Teaching Assistant, that is confident with Maths and English, by supporting targeted year 9 pupils starting from September. The role is initially part time, at 3 days a week, however this could be extended if the right candidate gets on in the Autumn term.

You will be supporting targeted year 9 pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, especially in English. You will be expected to run intervention sessions, as well as general classroom support.

You will be joining an average sized, and oversubscribed secondary school, in the leafy surroundings in the South of Preston. The school is near major public transport links and easily accessible links from the motorways.

The pupils enjoy their lessons, and the relationship between staff and pupils is brilliant. Staff are well respected by all pupils in school, making behaviour issues extremely minimal.
